Rosa Madame Alfred Carriere

Comment from Sarah Crook

This is a classic climbing rose which does well on a north wall. But your "Where to Grow" states east, west and south only. I certainly have two romping away on a north facing wall in North Yorkshire and they are in that situation in one of the Castle Howard private gardens I understand.

Pruning

Question from Iris Lando

You say that the months to prune this rose if established, are 'August November'. should it be 'any time between Aug & Nov'?.
Thanks
Iris

Rosa 'Madame Alfred Carrière'

Comment from Nicola

An old-rose classic, this climbing rose was born in 1879 and features pink-blushed white flowers with a strong spicy-sweet scent. It bears a continuous supply of blooms and is perfect for clothing a wall or pergola (especially since it bears fewer thorns than most roses).
