Lace Lady

Question from Helen & Mike Playdon

We pruned quite hard our Lace Lady last autumn before leaf fall, from c.8 feet to c.5 feet. This spring about 1/4 of tree has failed to produce leaves. What could be wrong?

No flowers or fruit

Question from Deborah Barnard

I was surprised to see that in your description of the plant it should have flowers and fruit. My lacelady (which is 10 years old, healthy and now far too big!) has never flowered. Why is this?

yellow leaves

Question from Jane

Hi we moved our Robinia from a pot to a border the year before last. Last year it was fine but this year, although covered in leaves, the leaves are all yellow. Why is this & what can we do to turn it green again?

Protect from frost

Question from Jane

We moved our Lace Lady to a pot in Aug/Sep, the plant was in shock and lost all its leaves. Now it starts growing new shoots, however recent first frost killed all. I wonder what shall I do to protect the new shoots during the winter time?

Lace Lady

Question from Helen O'Neil

My lace lady doesn't have many leaves in the middle (more towards the ends) and some of these are turning yellow. I did find scale beelte about a month ago and picked them all off then sprayed. I have added feed granules to soil and given a top layer of compost (it's in a pot). Any ideas as to the lack of leaves and general dcline in the leaves?
