Molly is 2 years old and her stems are approx. 12" with one bud. Three days ago, she took a dive to the ground and she looks very thirsty, but I know she isn't. I staked her up but she continues to wilt. What type of pesticide should I use to correct this? What else can I do to help her? Please save Molly! Thx

Peonies are susceptible to botrytes, a disease that blackens the stem, buds and leaves, yours does not look like it has anything. Do you'll have moles? if so they sometimes tunnel underneath, leaving the roots dangling in the air, you might check to see if the earth is spongy close to the plant, what about frost? it should bounce back if it is.

Thanks Elaine for your prompt response. After reading your comments, I went to check the ground and found that Molly perked up. It must have been the frost. All is well now. Thanks again.
