My Pacific Sunset appears to have been very badly damaged in snow/frost earlier this year. Some lower branches still appear healthy but majority of the plant appears dead with all leaves falling off virtually overnight. Should I simply dig out and replace, prune back or leave alone?

Hi, Alan,
Yes, Coprosma is tender so it does sound like yours suffered this winter. Typically, Coprosma should only be lightly pruned so I am not sure how yours will respond to a heavy prune. If more than half of the plant is damaged/defoliated, I would replace it.
