last summer I had a half standard fuchsia that flowered from may through to October. I put it into the greenhouse for the winter and brought it out a few weeks ago - but no sign of any growth. I also wonder if there is will it come from the ground rather than the old stems? If I have lost this plant I would love to replace it but I never knew the name of it. Any advice on the best one to choose? Heather

Hi, Heather,
What kind of care did it get over the winter? Was this a heated or unheated greenhouse? When you brought it out, did you acclimate (slowly get it used to) it to being outside again? What has the weather been like. If you scratch away a little bit of bark on a stem, do you see any green. Green will mean it is still alive. If still alive, it should leaf out all over the crown.
