I have just planted some beautiful hemerocallis crimson pirate and have been reading conflicting advice as to whether they are toxic to cats. They have been in a few weeks now and my cat hasn't paid then any attention, but I'd prefer not to cause her any harm. If they are toxic does anyone know of any equally beautiful alternatives?

Thanks Patricia - I swapped them out for irises!

But they are not lilies, they are hemerocallis. Lilies are 'Lilium' in their formal name. Are you sure that hemerocallis are also toxic?
