I planted P.thurberi in the spring, it established well, trebled in size and produced copious buds that open into quite small flowers that only last a day. I have other potentilla that produce flowers that last for many days, is this symptomatic of anything serious or do new plants in this species perform badly in their first season?

Probably the lack of sun is causing the plant not to flowers .
Plants in my garden are flowering well that have been in for some years, the three new ones are flowering but not a prolifically.
Maybe next year will provide a better show.

Thankyou, there has been a shortage of UV this year, let's hope next year is an improvement.
Kind regards, Bar
