Hiya, I was wondering if anyone could help me?

I have a lovely cone tree out the back which I love to bits, however with any tree it does dry up the ground - so what plants would you recommend? Could I get away with some fuchsias if I water them on a regular basis?

Any ideas?

If you like shrubs, aucuba, skimmia, accanthopanax are a few that will do well, as for pernnials, epemediums do well in dry shade, so do brunneras, polygonatum hybridum, geranium macrorrhizum and hellebores are few of the ones that thrive, without undue fuss. try galanthus and blue bells for bulbs.

You can go with skimmia. It is really the one you are searching for.
