This is an image of my Cripps Pink apple tree grown from seed, it is now in its second year, and around 6 feet tall. My question was related to pruning in order to maximise and thicken growth. What is the best way to prune this plant, and should it be done in January? Should I remove all the lower shoots, and selected shoots that aren't lateral to create a good spread?
