Hi everyone

I want to have a go at grafting a wisteria onto a rootstock. Do you do this to promote earlier flowering? Do you use wisteria sinensis seedlings or can you take a cutting from wisteria sinensis and grow it on and then use it? I want to have a go at training a wisteria into a 5 or 6ft standard. I've only grafted apple trees before so this is really new to me but I thought it would be exciting if I could get it to work. Also, could I just take a cutting from my wisteria sinensis growing on my back wall and train that as a standard (if I can get it to root)?

Thanks

Gill
