I've had this plant for a few years now, given to me by a friend of a friend who grew it from some cuttings but didn't know what it was. It seems quite happy, growing enthusiastically in a pot in my sitting room, and it's recently produced a flower/fruit thing. Pictures are attached. Can anyone tell me what it is>

Hi, Rob,
Ruth is correct, it is a type of pepper. More specifically, it is Capsicum baccatum var. pendulum or one of its cultivars. It's a type of hot pepper.
All the best,
