We have just bought the above and would like to know how to grow as a tree rather than a shrub. It has 2 upright shoots at moment is 24 inches inches high.

It likes a little shade, all variegated plants need to be protected from the west sun. When you say it has two shoots, do you mean two leaders, it is always nice to have one leader, the one that goes straight up. You don't prune a tree for 5 years, then you can direct growth. to go the way you want it to go.
