Hi all
I have this plant in my garden and i've tried to identify it however no luck.It has a square stem like a nettle (it isn't a nettle)It has hairy leaves and the flowers are not scented.I've been going round in circles.Would really appreciate any help ....

Looks like a Meadowsweet to me - a native British wildflower that tends to like damp areas. But I'm surprised that you say it doesn't have a scent - it usually has a sweet scent. It's a perennial and can spread to form very large clumps, but you could divide it every couple of years and make sure it's kept under control.

Looks like a species of Rodgersia to us probably aesculifolia or pinnata.
