I have just had to replant my elder to a new location further down the border. Unfortunately the leaves have wilted and it is looking very poorly. Any help or advice would be appreciated please?

The best time to move plants is in Fall or late winter or even in winter when the ground is not frozen. If the plant was large, you need to remove a third of the top, to balance for root loss, sambucus respond very well to being coppiced, try to put a shade cloth to protect it from the sun and keep it watered, do not feed till you see signs of growth and don't feed after the end of July, hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice Elaine. I'll give that a try and keep my fingers crossed!
