Lifespan of average blackcurrant bush

Would I be right in thinking blackcurrant bushes have a finite life of approx 10 years does any one have any views on this please?

I don't think that blackcurrant has and average lifespan. We've had one in our garden since I can remember, this means it's been there for more than 10 years already. If you take proper care of it, it will thrive and give fruits for a longer period of time.
