Hello, does anyone recognise what this plant is?
It was bought for a friend 5 years ago and now he is worried it's dying. I'd like to help keep it alive if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks
Faye

The leaf looks very much like a ginko biloba but it looks rather too small if it has been in a pot for 5 years.

Hi Faye, another suggestion from our social media is
"It's a maidenhair fern by the looks!"

And another comment from another follower "Yes it's a maidenhair fern. I had one and found it very difficult to keep as it doesn't like central heating."

It is a maiden hair fern, the variety venusta. Likes shade, give it a hircut and put in the ground, the pot is probably frying the root system.

Forgot to mention, it is an out door plant, it is semi-evergreen, but totally hardy, so put it in a shady part of your garden.
