Bought some seeds off the internet which were advertised as rare fuchsias(6 colours). Plants don't look like fuchsias but we're identified by someone as astilbes. Beginning to doubt this as !eaves are getting quite large ,and are reddish underneath, much larger than astilbes I already have. Can anyone help.

They're certainly not fuchsias! I thought at first they were astilbes, as there are several larger species not so commonly grown. I then though they might be Aruncus, but it seems not. The flattened leaf petiole is a bit of a mystery! Maybe some more pictures in a wee while might give up the secret!
