Hi,
Could anyone help me please with the name of this purple flower (the tall spikes in the front)? I've seen it in a lot of gardens near where I live and also as a weed on wasteland but have never seen seeds or plants for sale.

Linaria annua - I think. It probably has an ordinary name too. Once you have it in the garden it will pop up somewhere every year - not a thug, though.

Agree...linaria purpurea. Not just annual though gives loads of seedlings it will survive winters. Very easy to remove if necessary.
Hope you've acquired some by now. If not try for some seeds from wasteland plants and scatter in garden.
Other hybrids available. Common family name .. . toadflax.
