Hi all
Recently came across an established evergreen shrub. It’s been kept to about 5ft, haven’t seen it flower. I'm inclined to think it’s a type of escallonia but the leaves are bigger than other escallonia i’m familiar with. It’s thornless and has berries similar to a berberis, hope someone can help.
thanks for your time

Just a guess, could it be prunus lusitanica, or Potuguese laurel?
