I got this Christmas tree from a friend with no tag. I will put it in a hoop house outside till spring but would like to know exactly what it is so I know where to plant it in the spring.

Hi Teresa, one follower on our social media says

"It looks like an Alberta spruce. Picea glauca conica" Hope that helps?

Cheers, Nicola

Sorry for late reply. Think your Christmas tree might be traditional type i. e.
Norway spruce Picea abies. Eventual height 20 - 40 metres 70 - 130 ft.
Identify later by cones.
