Hello,
Can anyone help identify this shrub that I have in my garden? Leaves all year round and flowering dark red/purple flowers now. Think I'm allergic to the flowers. Scent is stronger at night.
Thanks!
Sarah

Might it be a Weigela - not known for fragrance really.

Hi Carol,

Thanks, but it's definitely very fragrant and the flowers are very small so maybe not a Weigela?

I won't claim to be too clever and know this one but I found the answer in another forum post so I will let you know it is Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Variegatum'.
The post was on 27th April Fragrant shrub against west facing wall
