Looks like some kind of dock but leaves quite thick and shiny .. measures almost 4ft x 4ft. Over 3 seasons haven't noticed any discernible flowers. Cut down to root last 2 winters and grows back quite happily. I like the look of it so not planning to get rid. Doesn't seem like a 'spreader' or invasive.

Can anyone identify this plant please?

Wow, that's great! I love horseradish! Have planted some herbs next to it, so it's nice it's another edible herb :) .. My mouth is watering thiinking about cultivating it in the Autumn, lol. Thank you Simon! :)

You may be happy to have the horseradish in your garden now, but you'll probably never be able to get rid of it as it spreads and sends down deep roots everywhere. I had to resort to several applications of glyphosate in the end to rid my garden of it! You can have too much of a good thing.
