I have a Clematis Viticella 'Mary Rose' that does not appear on your 10,000+ plant list.

Is the 'Mary Rose' and 'Flore Pleno' the same plant?

Hi Nicola,

Thanks for the speedy reply much apreciated.

As for the site I think it's wonderful, just what I've been looking for and more. You should be very, very proud.

I'll especially appreciate the care Calendar. In the past I've discovered I'm pretty good at planting new plants, but not so good at caring for them afterwards.

Hi Keith

From time to time plant names either get changed or modified - and it would appear that Clematis viticella 'Mary Rose' and 'Flore Pleno' are the same plant, or at least very closely connected! Breeders will normally put the words flore pleno into a name to indicate that the flower is a double petalled cultivar.

Good luck!

I would just like to point out that Mary Rose is a completely different plant. If you want to know more about this, log on to the website of Peveril Clematis. This is the website of a true expert!
