Hi, Sarah,
Buddleja - even dwarf varieties - are hardy and considering where you live, they should have no problem surviving the winter. Having said that, however, you need to make sure the pots don't freeze and they plants get adequate moisture. Put the containers against a warm, preferably house, wall. Many people think they don't need to water in winter, but plants in containers need it year round. If the weather is dry for any length of time, water it - just don't water if there is the possibility of freezing temperatures. If there is cold snap, Buddleja might die back. In that case, just hard prune in spring and it should resprout.
All the best!
