Hi Neil, looks very much like aloe vera, I can't quite see if it has serrated edges. If you break a leaf it is full of liquid that has medicinal propeties that are meant to be good for burns.

Hi, I think it is a succulent called Haworthia Attenuata (zebra Haworthia), the leaves are covered with white blobs - it grows only to about 13cm (height and spread) and is ideal for a narrow windowsill.

That's Aloe variegata, if the stripes aren't bumpy... a very fine and stripey little fellow!
