I bought this plant as a grafted unit in autumn 2008 and though I get lots of leaves and growth I still have no flowers. Leaves appearing this year and a very mature specimen locally already has a few flowers. I have pruned as advised. How long should I give it before giving up. It is on a west facing wall.

Barbara, I have been waiting 8 years for my Wisteria to flower. I have pruned as recommended religiously. I only just noticed I have 2 flower buds earlier this week and am so excited about it.
I had decided that if it didn't display this year then it was a gonner!!!! It must have read my mind!

My plant has been growing without flowering for 8 years, I have been attending to it as required but still no flowers, I have been told that sometimes these plants grow 'Blind' and never flower, I am not sure how long I should wait before giving up on it.
I think the best advice on growing one of these plants is to buy one with the flowers already on it, that way you know it should always flower.
