Hello

I planted two new dwarf bamboos but the are not doing to well (see attached pictures). The leaves are getting brown. The soil is moist (maybe too moist)?

Hi, Hans,
It is perfectly normal for older leaves on bamboo to turn brown, and even more so if the plant has been recently tranplanted/planted. Another cause could be if it has been exposed to cold temps/weather since being planted. As long as you see new leaves emerging, I wouldn't be too concerned.

Hi Kathy

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, there are no new leaves emerging and the bamboos have been turning even browner. Watering does not help. As bamboo is a form a grass, I am hoping that it will recover once the conditions have improved, but I have not yet found out what I need to change.
