Last week I planted maiden grass in two containers on my porch. They were beautiful. This morning they look deformed. The blades have narrowed and the tips appear burnt. They did not look this this yesterday morning when I watered them. What could have happened?

Hi, Karen,
That does seem sudden, but it isn't unusual for plants to decline a bit as they establish themselves after planting. Is your porch high up (I think I see rooftops in the background) and relatively exposed? How often are you watering them? Are they in full sun or partial shade? Could be that they are not yet used to those conditions. Final thought is you have two of these in a container that is really too small for their expected, mature height and growth. Perhaps once they perk up a bit (maybe next year) they both get larger, circular pots.
