Ref my recently purchased Clematis montana 'Giant Star' how much pruning is required and when to prune.

Hi Martin, There are three basic pruning groups for Clematis. The way Shoot works is we assign the right pruning instructions to each clematis based on its name.

To get the right care advice for this clematis add it to your 'Plants I have' list. By doing this you will care the care advice (including how and when to prune it) added to your care calendar and also it will be made available in the plant page itself too.
