I really like this plant but I've been told it's a weed. I'd like to keep it if possible but would like to know what it is so I know how it'll behave and how to "care" for it.

Someone suggested purple loosestrife but the stems and flowers on mine don't seem to match the description.

It looks like linaria (toadflax) to me - a perennial that seeds around. Very easy.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I think it is indeed Toadflax.

It is Linaria pupurea. Loves walls and dry places. Self seeds eaily.
