Having just installed our third arch can anyone suggest a climber that dies down in winter as roses and jasmine have added to the resistance when the winds are strong and resulted in both previous arches breaking and falling down. Thanks

Despite neglecting our huge blackcurrant bush, every year it produces masses of fruit. The first year I covered it with a net curtain, to keep the birds off. They have never showed any interest. This year it was too hot early on to pick them, now there are pounds of fruit............I'd quite like a little help from the birds!

Thank you, yes next door at the moment is a tent of wisteria but I suspect under the canopy is 'the Knotweed'. I'm contacting all the neighbours involved hoping we can unite and employ someone to eradicate it. I shall be in touch.

We have unkempt gardens both sides of our S. London garden. Main worry is Japanese Knotweed, we've been pulling it up and burning it as the council won't accept it or advise. Apparently it could affect us selling the property. I've heard there's a bug that eats it, but think it is still in experimental stage. Does anyone know more , please?Pictures show adjacent properties and the weed!

We were given this lovely stellata planted in a huge pot for our wedding anniversary.
It flowered beautifully and then after the flowers dropped the leaves began to appear, but now they are showing signs of being eaten by something, and I can't see anything, presumably should be spraying it with something, but what??
Please advise.

Now I have begun using the greenhouse, I have lettuces and other salad greens coming on nicely. A few indoor flowering plants, some lemon pips sown by my grandaughter, and some cat grass and mint for the cat. Can anyone please advise me about insulating the space for winter? I've been told bubble wrap but am not sure how to attach it?

Thank you, that was really helpful. would I be able to try a few tropicals soon and over winter and then begin some salad seeds or something similar in the spring?

I have just treated myself to a small greenhouse 6' x6' with no previous experience, is there anyone out there who could give me advice as to best way to start? Judging from other forum contributors there are more questions than answers!
