About me
The garden, when we arrived here two years ago, was an easy maintenance lot as long as the elderly neighbour who looked after it kept it under control. He move about two years before Sara bought it. It was full over overgrown green shrubs and heather underwhich were dead shrubs and heather that had been consumed by the strongest. A grand clearout followed with only the roses and one or two shrubs retained as well as the cypress and ash trees on one bborder which help to dull the noise of the District and Piccadilly trains trundling past every few minutes on the other side. It is split into four sections - Waverley - A patio area with potted plants & ponds, Ibis - A border with the wheelhouse of a Cornish fishing lugger and a 'busshelter with tree growing through the roof as the main features. The Triangle - full of herbaceous plants and the Wildlife garden - wild flowers and berries.

Biggest gardening accomplishments
For two years running we have picked up 2 Very Highly Commended and 1 Highly Commended in the Ealing in Bloom Competions. There is much work to do to get into the top three of the categories entered in but we'll carry on trying.

Biggest gardening frustrations
Not being accepted into the NGS scheme - Whilst acknowledged as having a garden of interest, too much was visible to be seen from the pavement - we are working on thickening a hedge and will come up with a way of restricting the view from the road. Parking (in a cul de sac) was also a problem but we've been to quite a few gardens with greater problems than ours. We'll get there one day.

The gardening project I am currently working on
We are both working at making the garden more interesting.
