Open and level site enabling the joys of "Big Sky"! Water table is very high with clay, sand and acid soils in various areas (Makes it "interesting") Have only been here since 2008 and whole area was grassed over, with a lot of couch and yards of moss (high water table). Area used to be heathland back in early 70's - maybe it's trying to revert!Tip: Click zoom out button above to see entire garden plan
About me
Moved here in 03/08 to a field surrounded by self seeded and adult "goats willow" with thousands of saplings everywhere. Garden had been untouched for years,so we had to set to!
We love gardening anyway and are now beginning to reap rewards, although still a long way to go; our neighbours have enjoyed the experience as our main garden is to the front and side of the bungalow.
Gardening expertise
Very Keen
Biggest gardening frustrations
High water table so parts often waterlogged. Note! 20/12/13 - Not just waterlogged but positively drowned, I'm thinking about getting ducks so that they can swim on the lawn!!!!
The gardening project I am currently working on
May 2010 - Redesigning the rear garden
