The main part is a woodland garden with lots of shade, hence not many flowers. At the bottom of the garden, reached through an arch, is the green house and steps to a back door, leading out onto a nature reserve. Here, I dug up a small area which hadn't been touched for a long time and planted a tree fern as well as lots of other ferns. My favourite spot at present. The garden is on a slope with the house at the top overlooking it all. A small area right next to the conservatory gets more sunlight as it is south facing and I like to plant more flowers in that area. There is not a published plan for this garden yet.
About me
I am a newbie to gardening, so really keen to learn anything about plants and care instructions. Not really interested in vegetables.
I see my passion in flowers for their colours, leaf shapes and habit. I love ferns, the bigger the better.
Now, 5 years on, I am still not an experienced gardener but I get great joy out of looking at the plants which have made it to maturity (some of them had to be moved 3 times until they were in the right spot).
