We're on the Staffordshire/Cheshire border - We have a 1/3 acre plot, 600 ft above sea level, on a slight slope & quite exposed overlooking the Cheshire Plain - lovely views but it is on clay - fortunately there has been topsoil imported in certain areas. Only moved here about 18 months ago - it was basically a field but there are some NICE wild flowers amongst the nettles & ragwort.
