Located in a Victorian approved school close to "Britain in Bloom"- winning Usk, this east aspect garden is about 3/4 acre. Once the headmaster‘s garden, the plot slopes towards the rising sun and is partially terraced for level areas as well as banked beds. There are beautiful views towards Wentwood Forest over pasture and woodlands beyond a bordering railway line – sometimes with steam trains! We have been here for over a decade but only made real progress in the past 3 years as plans develop along with enthusiasm and energy. We have a liking for unusual trees and shrubs which we under-plant with bedding plants. Also we love birds and do all we can to attract them. Wibbly-wobbly DIY hard landscaping continues slowly and might just be finished for us to enjoy in our retirement. Future plans include a nature pond and raised vegetable beds.

About me
Well, it ain't really me... it's all my partner, Maz. She does all the brain work and clever stuff; I'm just a hewer of wood, drawer of water and gofer something cold to drink. As a partnership it works well as you can see - but there's loads more to do!
