About me
I live in a cottage in Northamptonshire which has a lovely rather large cottage garden, a lot of which is lawn as I love lying on the grass or sitting on a deckchair on it. There is a wildlife pond, wildlife meadow patch, a Meditteranean sunny border and a lot of places for vegetables and fruit, as well as a hedge of flowering shrubs. I am a garden designer and also love painting, marketing and editing the village newsletter.

Biggest gardening accomplishments
The wildlife pond in a dry clay area - managing to make it look wet and naturally pond-like despite the summer dryness. I used a lot of carex pendula and some irises as well as inula at the back and geraniums round the side.
Biggest gardening frustrations
Weeds! And having to get someone else to do most of the work on a small budget, as after a long illness I am still building up fitness to do it myself.
Also as everyone else would say, the weather - it's always too wet/dry/cold etc for some veg I want to grow!
The gardening project I am currently working on
A patch of meadow, which is bulbs in spring and early summer, going over to scabious, knapweed and geraniums in summer and early autumn, then cut for the spring. I'm growing more red campion for it as this did well this year. However it's hard to keep t
