About me
An Absolute Beginner! Have a helpful Mummy tho' who answers most of my questions - but I'm sure I will have many more! Many thanks to all that take the time to answer any of them! Having struggled for the last 2 years with a water-logged garden I moved to a new property in December. I now have a gravel garden out the front (about 1ft deep) which receives morning sun, and have put a kidney-shapped bed in the lawn out back, which gets afternoon sun. We also put in some young fruit trees. We have inherited a pond, and having cleared the ripped netting, autumn leaves, & overgrowing grass we have discovered several potted plants, a frog, a couple of fish and now have a couple of local ducks! At one side of the garden is a small brook with a copse the other side. I would love to plant the banks & woods with native flower species ... all in good time!

Gardening expertise

Biggest gardening accomplishments
My herb garden ... still small but growing & doing nicely!

Biggest gardening frustrations
Trying to identify the plants left behind by the last tenant! Learning how to garden without killing the wildlife! (i.e. not using pesticides, fungicides etc, but then having damaged weak plants!) Learning about native planting & gardening for wildlife!

The gardening project I am currently working on
growing plants from seeds - for the 1st time!
