We took on quite a challenge when we found this semi rural plot of very overgrown pasture and mainly oak woodland in the Weald of Kent last year (2009). Starting with the clearing of 'dark walls' of conifer; ash; elder, holly; bramble; thistle; nettle and towering grass we have brought some order into the continuing wildness and are gradually introducing hedging and creating new borders as well as adding new shrubs and perennials into the beds around the cottage.Tip: Click zoom out button above to see entire garden plan
