About me
I am new to real gardening as my previous homes have had small 'easy to manage' gardens to suit my busy lifestyle. Having bought this house with almost 1 acre of land and wood I also find myself with more time on my hands due to a change in my work therefore am very eager to put my grand plans into action. I know nothing about plants, planting and pruning and everything about Pimms and Pottering... in fact I have made pottering an art form - unfortunately pottering about the garden doesn't get the work done! I hope this year (2011) I can complete some of the many unfinished projects and maybe start some new ones. Green fingers crossed!

Biggest gardening accomplishments
Our Front garden and driveway was designed by Hubby and the hard work done by me .. (and a small team of builders and one or two familiy members) but mainly me. I planted the box hedging from very small bare root plants that cost £1.00 each and I used 300 of them - 5 years later its coming together. The water rills provide interest and formality and fit the very unusual space we had available pretty well, the grass lawns are difficult to maintain and may need a re-think.

Biggest gardening frustrations
Propagating! I am useless and find it hard to do, it seems that not much grows in my greenhouse due to the watering system.. (me!) I must try harder.

The gardening project I am currently working on
The orchard.. Its a bit of a jumble, the old fruit trees are dying and leaning over almost to the ground, I placed a temporary chicken run there .. 3 years ago!
