Alan Graham, Front garden (BR6)

Styles: Suburban

Soil types: Chalky, Clay

Light: Partial Shade

Aspect: West

Exposure: Exposed

A fight between garden and driveway, neither have won yet... The ever increasing number of cars and yellow line in the street forces a change to the front garden. Up comes the concrete, down goes a more permeable cobble paving. The remains of the grass will need to change to gravel with planting. The flower beds will become raised and more defined adding a bed under the bay window. Great work by Russ & Liz from Greenroom Landscaping. Now I have to keep it looking great...

About me
Having a BA in Garden Design doesn't make me a gardener. Having won Top Gold with my garden Paradox at the Kent County Show 2010 doesn't make me a gardener. Spending time in the garden doesn't either. Maybe this website will...

Biggest gardening accomplishments

Trying to weed my front garden. Finally extracted a Ford Ka that has grown where the lawn should be! Needed a plan to stop another taking root! Before this happened a Morris Minor started to grow. A new layout was needed and now, with much help from
