john, My Garden (WA11)

Styles: English cottage

Soil types: Clay

Soil drainage: Moisture-retentive

Soil pH: Neutral

Light: Full Sun

Aspect: South

Exposure: Sheltered

A child friendly garden with a mix of cottage and modern perennial and shrubs. Lots of bargain plants divided and multiplied over the last few years. Annuals still play their part in filling the gaps and adding lots of colour.

About me
Although nothing to do with my current occupation my dream is to make a successful living from gardening. I really enjoy the buzz from propagating plants and would like to make a living from propagating and selling.

Gardening expertise
Very Keen

Biggest gardening accomplishments
My patio. Consisting of over 1500 recycled bricks, some bought but most got free from skips, demolition sites and friends.

Biggest gardening frustrations
Winter temps below -10 deg C in early 2010 and 2011 which killed off a few prized posessions.
