Small 20 foot town house garden. Very close to the sea. Recently been landscaped. All the decking was taken up and the back fence removed,. We had 4 beds constructed from brick and Iroko hardwood, separated by a bench on each side and a small bed at the back. Half the garden is sunny and half is partly shady, we get the sun until about 3 or 4. We have had colour changing lights built into the bed too, they look great at night. My aim for the garden is to create something that is green, white and scented with flashes of deep purple every now and then. I am trying to ensure I have something flowering and smelling all year round, The planting is a mix of what I had in pots before and very new plants that are just becoming established. It's my first grown up garden so any ideas and advice are more than welcome!!

About me
I'm a busy working Mum of 4 living by the sea. I have just created a contemporary looking space from a previously unused area. It was decked and had a back fence which meant with my pots, we had about 10 ft of usable space. With this design, we have easily doubled that and it's a pleasure to be out there. The flooring is Indian Sandstone and hardwood is Iroko. We have furniture that stacks upwards so as not to use up too much space, colour changing lights and a walled water feature. I am just enjoying getting into gardening properly now, perhaps becoming slightly obsessed! Love to hear from you all.
