About me
My wife Annie & I have been working on our present garden since we moved to this bungalow (which we renovated) in November 2005. I am keen on most things & good at some, like keeping grass looking good, and roses. My knowledge is patchy, hopefully Shoot will improve that!. Annie's knowledge & experience is greater. I am prone to destroy good plants while weeding which means I'm not allowed to do that chore often.

Gardening expertise
Very Keen

Biggest gardening accomplishments
Keeping lawn in good condition and virtually weed free despite 10 grandchildren, and keeping the roses close to blackspot free. Redesign of back garden for more plants!

Biggest gardening frustrations
Keeping the garden tidy despite Ann & grandchildren. Lack of storage space. Windy weather in this coastal location. No facility from local council for collection of green waste.

The gardening project I am currently working on
Choosing, getting & planting trees for screening parts of back garden which are overlooked. Creating collapsible, portable plant protection frames. Research is on-going. Felting roof of gazebo. Moving water butts.
