Never been in charge of a garden before! Previously deferred to 'Head Gardener' and was admittedly a rubbish assistant! Now it's all up to me... :-) Stripped out completely overgrown 25 year old garden and started from scratch. N/NE aspect. New turf, three raised beds - one shady, one sunny, one in evening sun. Attempted to make long thin garden look wider with zigzag effect placing two triangular beds offset from each other at the sides, and one end bed under neighbouring trees. The only thing left from original garden is a tiny little shed. Stocked so far with: Phormiums, grasses, heucharas, Dropmore Scarlet honeysuckles growing through a trellis with a lavender hedge in front, an orange honeysuckle growing over an arch, Totem Poles as a backdrop to triangular patio, affinis ferns, hellebores at the end, acer dissectum, jasmine Clotted Cream, orange tulips and gigantum alium in spring
