My garden lies in the heart of the West Mids conurbation. It's taken me 4 years to bring it to its present condition. I've reshaped the lawn from rectangular to double circular to allow greater depth for borders. I'm south facing and have fairly neutral soil. The southern borders receive very little sunlight and moisture content ranges from very dry in the west corner to constantly damp in the east corner. I call this the boggy corner. Ligularias, hostas, ferns, cimicifuga, thalictrums are all doing well here. The west border gets most sun. Here I have sidalceas, lupins, monardas, ceanothus, delphiniums, achilleas, choisya, spirea a tall miscanthus and some smaller grasses. I keep the south east corner for various cannas and annual bedding, and further along lobelias and lysimachias sprout up up in the semi shade. Passion flowers and clematis brighten up the patio in summer. There is not a published plan for this garden yet.
