I live in SW France, but am using my Kent postcode. I have an exposed plot of 1500 metres sq, with new house on edge. Evergreen hedge for screening. Four aspects around the house with different planting in each area. Autumn concerns are starting a lawn from a weed patch and surrounding it with lavenders, grasses, box hedging, bulbs and something for height. Soil is stony and heavy clay, compacted in parts and dry in summer. A rustic country garden with views of village and countryside all around. I have planted lots of shrubs and some are lookig ill- ribes sanguinea, hydrangea, rosa rugosa, vibernum opulus. Eleagnus and laurel are thriving. There is not a published plan for this garden yet.
