About me
We moved into our current home in 2005 after a year long building renovation project and typically, found ourselves without the resources necessary to landscape. It's taken a while to tidy up and feel ready to move on to the creative phase. Having scaled down my business last year, I now have the time and certainly the inclination to get started though I'm finding the prospect extremely daunting because I am lacking even the most basic knowledge. How did people manage without the wonderful resource that is the Internet? Just finding this site is so motivating. I'm really hoping that I can make good progress over the coming months.

Gardening expertise
Keen but Clueless

Biggest gardening accomplishments
Conquering my fear of plant taxonomy, identification and classification! Three weeks ago I started an RHS course in practical horticulture knowing nothing. Now I know a tiny fraction more than nothing but after twenty five years of dedicating myself to one talent and building my career around that, I'm just beginning to realise what a wonderful new path of discovery I've embarked upon.

Biggest gardening frustrations
Trying to differentiate between certain conifers. Think that I've cracked it now.

The gardening project I am currently working on
Identifying and cataloguing the existing trees and shrubs in my garden that were planted by us in this former farmyard over the past seven years on a completely random, pot-luck basis.
