The garden is constantly evolving now we have the layout we want, the first year of planting in the newly dug bed saw around 60% of the new plants die off in year one and so we are now planting more hardy plants for the clay soil. I am also very interested in creating some alpine planters that can be moved around the garden at different times of the year to change the colours and look. There is not a published plan for this garden yet.
About me
My name is Simon Williams, I have enjoyed the great outdoors from an early age and after having spent 20 years based in an office carrying out Business Operations, Sales & Marketing I decided it was time to start something new in the environment that I most enjoy. I studied & trained at Merrist Wood in Tree Surgery & Arboriculture before setting up Yew Tree & Garden Services. I enjoyed gardening when I was much younger learning many things from Saturdays spent with my nan in her glorious garden. I am now looking to increase my knowledge and skills in the garden area to fully compliment my Tree Surgery skills.
I am particularly keen on increasing my knowledge in Alpines and Cottage gardens.
