Biggest gardening accomplishments
Finally getting my head around this pruning business for my shrubs and especially my roses. Shrubs and roses have looked fantastic this year .

Biggest gardening frustrations
I have a concrete parking space at the bottom of my garden ( put in before i moved in ) and it causes one L shaped area of my garden to be boggy , i have tried various different things to improve it, even dug a 6 ft deep drain away but the problem was made even worse when my neighbour put a concrete drive next to mine. The only plant that has survived any length of time in there has been my dwarf rhododendron . I have just put a dogwood in as my garden centre said " that it should do ok there " We call the area the Graveyard because everything we put in dies .

The gardening project I am currently working on
I have always wanted a Wisteria i just love them , However i have no where to grow one . On a whim i bought one (because i,m nuts like that ) I kept it in it's pot for a couple of weeks whilst i wondered what the hell i was going to do with it . Then i thought about Bonsai , looked it up on the net and low and behold yes you can indeed successfully bonsai Wisteria . My local garden centre specializes in Bonsai so i got lots of advice and it's now in its bonsai pot looking a little sad but still alive . If i can get it through our harsh winter then i might have half a chance of success . I will post a photo in spring if it survives that is .
